Difference Between Men and Women If you look at a human being all the way down to the atomic level, we are all made of the exact same protons, neutrons, and electrons. An atom doesn't have a gender; it's just building blocks. The same is true if you look at us from a spiritual perspective. Ancient teachings say our deepest self—our soul, or what some call the Atman—is just pure consciousness and life energy. At this core level, there is no "man" or "woman." We are all exactly the same spark of life, just experiencing the world inside different physical bodies. So, if we are all exactly the same on the inside, why is there so much discrimination in the world? The simple answer is the human ego. The ego is the part of our mind that always wants to feel special, separate, or better than someone else. Instead of seeing our shared inner spirit, the ego gets completely distracted by what we look like on the outside. Over thousands of years, people let their egos use these physical differences to put each other into groups and create unfair rules. Discrimination is basically a trick the mind plays to make us forget that we are all equal. Even though we know deep down that everyone is equal, we still live in a real world where these unfair rules cause actual pain. This is why fighting for social change is so important. We can't just ignore the problem by saying "we are all one spirit." We have to actually fix the real-life systems that treat people poorly. This is especially true when it comes to women. When you look at the real world, women do an incredible amount of the work that keeps humanity going—from literally bringing new life into the world to raising children, supporting families, and building communities. Making sure women have the exact same opportunities, freedom, and respect as men isn't just a nice idea; it's absolutely necessary. Because women contribute so much to creating and shaping our society, holding them back actually hurts everyone. Treating women as true equals is how we put our spiritual beliefs into action. It is how we finally start living out the truth that science and spirituality both teach us: that underneath our physical shells, every single human being has the exact same value. --An humble Kriyavan
